Well, "Previous Owner" isn't correct, but there weren't a lot of other choices.

This is an actual retired NASCAR Winston Cup stock car that I helped to convert its paint and decal scheme for the biographical movie 'Dare to Dream: The Alan Kulwicki Story.' We needed to replicate Kulwicki's first-ever Cup race winning 1988 Zerex Antifreeze car, so we were given permission by the car's then-owner to repaint his car since he was going to do a ground-up restoration anyway.

The original chassis was built by RahMoc Racing in 1986, then later rebodied to appear as a 1987-88 T-Bird for NASCAR competition. It was raced by Jody Ridley in 1986 and 87 with Nationwise Auto Parts sponsorship.

We needed to convert it very quickly on rather short notice for filming. From the start of stripping the car of its original livery to the final application of the decals needed for its period-correct movie appearance took place in 18 hours! The wildest part was that the crew was dependent on my memory to re-create the paint scheme accurately... at 3:00 AM after 1 hour of sleep!

I even appear in the film for 18 seconds with one speaking line, about 3/4th into the film. Don't blink! (I'm the guy with the cowboy hat, BTW.)

The car has since been returned to its correct Nationwise colors. Still, it was a lot of fun!
