I had this truck for a short period of time. It was a great project to get involved in, but I got orders to go to Texas and I sold it, CHEAP!, CHEAP!, CHEAP!!!! Not even two weeks after I sold it, my orders got cancelled. I kick myself in the booty everytime I think about it. It was a very unique truck eventhough it needed a lot of work. Oh well, loose some, win some!
Something else.... I was trying to get my brother join us in Carster back in July 06. I even created an account for him (Oldsman), but unfortunately, he hasn't shown any interest in joining us here. He's not computer savvy but loves to spend his off time with his children flying remote control aircraft. I wish he played with me though! :(
I guess that since he did not post any pictures, I'll post my own and we'll be matching until his account gets closed.
Yeap! It's one of the downs of the military, some times we have to just take off and leave things, places and families behind at a moment's notice. This truck was very unique, first time ever a 4X4 vehicle came out to the public from factory rather than having the items dealer installed. The wrap around window in the back was unique since they had a flat window as well in that year. Also, the hood was particularly different. The eagle ornament and the shape of the hood was unique as well. Too bad I had to let her go, I have not see one quite like her ever since!
Know the feeling, bought a 59 HD Sportser back in 66 from a guy shipping out to southeast asian games..my order came three months later..wish I had that today.
